Build for E/Mo20
Hey, I recently changed my secondary class from Ranger to Monk so I can heal. However I do not know how to keep a good balance between my nuking abilities as an Elementalist and healing abilities of a Monk. I don't have much knowledge of which Monk skills are effective over others, etc. Can someone please tell me a good build for this? Thanks.

In PvP I might take Mend Condition. |

Well, its hard to do good healing along with good nuking. As you don't have the divine favor bonus over the monks, and you would want to nuke plenty of targets. I think that the healing breeze suggestion should be the one you take. Most e/mo's go smiting. Others just go all out ele, but feel like rez signet just isn't good enough, so they take along the ressurect skill.
If you want to do E/mo, either go smiting or take rez skill (really your only option if you want to go fullout nuker). ES: 12 Fire: 12 ES: 10 Fire: 12 Other: 8 ES: 10 Fire: 11 Other: 10 Add runes where needed. |

Or if you really feel froggy you can be a Geomancer/Protector, like for if you want to go to UW. A cool mix would be Ward Against Melee, Ward Against Foes, Earthquake, Aftershock, Grasping Earth, Protcctive Spirit, Aegis and Rebirth. Now with this setup you are not a "heavy hitter" but you can make it very hard for your foes to hit the tank as this causes the monks to be able to keep there energy high enough to make sure the entire party survives. This is just a suggestion for only UW. (If you notice this skill setup also has room to take out a skill and insert an elite)
If you want to nuke/heal like some others have said a good start is healing breeze. So throw in Healing Seed, Rebirth and Orison. Then take your 4 favorite Fire Spells. Keep in mind that, being an Ele, Rebirth should only be used if you HAVE to use it since it drains whatever energy you have left. These are just some suggestions not a defined line try them out and tweek them or throw 'em out and make your own. The Sensei |
